Petroglyph Pottery

Our petroglyph pottery is handcrafted at an Arizona art studio using top quality durable ceramics. Each piece is hand painted and there for completely unique and may differ slightly from picture. Our unique finishing process provides a natural bone-like speckled color with golden brown and black painted designs. Petroglyphs are carvings or paintings on stone surfaces. Ancient symbols of animals, birds, tribesmen, kokopellis, sun, clouds, and hunters are often combined to illustrate a story or legend. The petroglyphs illustrated on this pottery line are depictions of drawings dating from 950 A.D. These prehistoric illustrations convey stories of daily life, rituals, myths, and legends.
